The Art of Comfiness

Welcome! This blog explores both literal comfiness and the nice, metaphorical comfiness you feel in your life from things that are quaint, cute, fuzzy, from your childhood, or just cheerfully happy. The Art of Comfiness is a window into my infamously snuggly brain.

I'm Kelsey BaRoss. I live in Northern New Jersey and currently study Mass Comm, Advertising, & PR at Towson University in Marlyand. My interests mostly include dogs (especially my own), photography as a hobby, positive thinking, saving money, Disney, the home, silliness, and things both cute and classy. My blog, as you will find out, mostly includes the same. Enjoy!

Find me on Twitter, Pinterest, Flickr, Instagram, and LinkedIn! An easy search of my first and last name will bring up my profiles on all of these social networks.

  1. Today was my last day interning at the Maryland SPCA! It’s been a great school year there and I’m going to miss it. My supervisor wrote me a really sweet card and gave me a book and doggie print pouch, which was so nice of her! I can’t think of a better way to use my skills than to save the lives of dogs and cats, and help them find their perfect forever families! Don’t worry, pups—I’ll come see you when I squeeze in time to volunteer senior year :)

“Just a pool, disguised as a pond, with a trampoline instead of a diving board.
I wrote a paper about these kinds of pools several years ago for a class when they were just prototypes. These pools have a natural filtration system that run based on the plants that are in the pool that give the water nutrients that allow it to not only be crystal clear, but you are also able to drink the water because it becomes so clean. And the best part is that once the initial filtration system is installed and calibrated, it maintains itself and eliminates the need for chlorine or constant maintenance like salt water pools.”
